Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to the details you send us, who sees them, and how to get them removed. Last updated 26 July 2026.

Who we are

The Chauffeur Line operates this website and is the data controller for the details you submit through it.

We are a lead-generation service. We do not carry passengers, employ drivers, hold a private hire licence or take payment. Journeys are fulfilled by a TfL-licensed private hire operator, and your details are passed to them so they can quote and arrange the journey you asked about.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you type into a form. We do not buy data, and there is no tracking pixel or advertising tag on this site.

  • Quote enquiries — your name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off locations, date, time, passenger count, journey type, vehicle preference, flight number where you give one, and anything you write in the notes field. Some people use the notes field for the ages of children travelling, or for accessibility requirements; we pass that to the operator because it changes which car and which seat they allocate.
  • General enquiries — your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
  • Your IP address — held briefly in server memory to limit how many submissions can come from one connection, which is what stops the forms being used to flood our inbox. It is not written to a database, not attached to your enquiry, and is discarded when the window expires.

Our lawful basis

  • Consent — for passing your details to our licensed operator partner. That is the tick box on the form, and the form will not submit without it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, though we cannot un-send an enquiry already passed on.
  • Legitimate interests — for replying to you, keeping a record of enquiries so we can follow one up or resolve a dispute, and protecting the forms from abuse.

Who your details are shared with

A short, fixed list. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.

  • Our licensed operator partner TODO: operator's registered name and TfL licence number. They receive your quote enquiry in full so they can price it, allocate a car and driver, and contact you. They are a separate controller for what they do with it after that, under their own privacy policy.
  • Resend — our email provider, which delivers the enquiry to the operator and the confirmation to you. Acting as our processor.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider, which serves this site and runs the form endpoints. Acting as our processor.
  • Nobody else — unless we are required to disclose something by law.

Resend and Vercel are US companies and may process data outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for 24 months, so that we can answer a question about a past journey or an invoice, and are then deleted. General enquiries are deleted once the conversation has finished and there is no reason to keep it. Ask us sooner and we will delete it sooner.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no advertising network on it, no social media tracking, and no cross-site profiling.

We currently run no analytics on this site at all — no page-view counting, and no third-party script of any kind.

If we ever adopt analytics that needs cookies, a consent banner will appear before it loads and this page will be updated first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of what we hold about you;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable format; and
  • stop relying on your consent, from that point on.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. See also our terms of use.
